It has been a busy 12 months with the Hearst Biennial and several international shows which included my first museum show at MoMA en Rio de Janiero. It was exciting to attend the Heast Biennial opening in mid-town Manhattan. This year, I was also awarded a RACC art grant.

The Hearst Biennial judges were Mary Ellen Mark, Steve McCurry, Timothy Greenfield-Sanders, Peter Lindbergh, David Granger, Virginia Heckert, Charles Stainback, John A. Bennette, III, & Judith Bookbinder. They chose 8 photographers from 1,000 entries from 47 countries.

Series:
Tempus Incognitus

"Tempus Incognitus" images are at: wwwbradcarlile.com/portfolio/jose.html All work is done on film and in camera without digital manipulation.

New Collection:
Internationally-known collector Joaquim Paiva acquired two Passage Perception images at FotoFest 2008. He then curated a show with these images at MoMA in Rio de Janeiro.

New Image Options:
Due to a German collector's request, I'm now offering larger images 40x64" (100x160cm) within the edition of 15.

I now use a very durable archival process called Perma-Stable Chrome that infuses jewel-like color images onto an aluminum surface.

Blog:
I blog on art, photography, and gallery openings in Portland & New York. www.bradcarlile.com/blog

NYC & PDX:
I live in Portland Oregon and a place in the East Village in Manhattan (NYC).

My work explores "time". As physicist Brian Greene said, "I do believe in time, I just think our intuition about it is wrong." Using conventional thinking we are deceiving ourselves about time?
